Are you a leg crosser?
This is contributing to your crookedness! The hip joint of the upper leg is pushed up and out causing instability in the joint and imbalance in the surrounding muscles. Not only this but sitting with your legs crossed has other negative consequences… it flexes the spine (this won’t help if you have had bulging disks), it shortens the hip flexors. Your weight rolls onto your tailbone which isn’t designed to support your weight. It compresses the diaphragm effecting your breathing and creates a downwards pressure on the pelvic floor. So it’s not helpful! Try and correct yourself whenever you notice yourself doing it.
