25 Apr Core Performance
How can we improve our core performance for riding?
We need control, stability and rotational strength from our core. We need to be able to finely control how much we rotate (for our lateral work, straightness and balanced turns) AND how much we don’t rotate, so anti- rotation. Sometimes we need to be able to resist the forces from the horse when their body is pushing ours into a pattern of crookedness. We need reactivity from our core so we can stay balanced during (unexpected) explosive movements from our horses.
So training our core as riders isn’t just about training for strength, we need to train all the above for performance.
Come and join me in the Fit 2 Ride Core Connection Series where we will learn how to activate our deep core muscles, breathe well and strengthen our core specifically for riding, all in short 15 minute sessions.
